How is a "composite image" created?
Using Photoshop, I first separate the object image from the background. This is the time-consuming part! There just isn't a software program made that does this very well. Next, I create a new background to "place" the subject object on. On average, most of the images I create take a minimum of 4-5 hours. Added to the time it takes are the additional costs of printing and mounting, and you can see this is more a labor of love for me rather than a money maker - but I love photographing automobiles (especially street rods and sports cars) and giving you a memorable souvenir of your cherished automobile.

Tranquil Path . . . Thousands of people visit Bend's Drake Park every year. Considered to be the city's "crown jewel", Drake Park is the most popular place for tourists and locals alike. The entire Park fronts the Deschutes River (called Mirror Pond) and is adjacent to downtown shops. It is home to hundreds of native birds, squirrels, Canadian geese, and a few Mute and Trumpeter swans. Occasionally deer can be seen here, and in the winter it's a frequent visiting spot for a huge bald eagle.

Scheduled events in Drake Park are many and diverse, yet it also offers a place of solitude that many never experience or even know it exists. Here is an early morning shot I've titled 'Tranquil Path' of the brick pathway which winds along the peaceful river through majestic ponderosa pine and deciduous hardwoods.
