____________________________.... DRAKE PARK .... _____________________________ Tranquil Path . . . Thousands of people visit Bend's Drake Park every year. Considered to be the city's "crown jewel", Drake Park is the most popular place for tourists and locals alike. The entire Park fronts the Deschutes River (called Mirror Pond) and is adjacent to downtown shops. It is home to hundreds of native birds, squirrels, Canadian geese, and a few Mute and Trumpeter swans. Occasionally deer can be seen here, and in the winter it's a frequent visiting spot for a huge bald eagle. Scheduled events in Drake Park are many and diverse, yet it also offers a place of solitude that many never experience or even know it exists. Here is an early morning shot I've titled 'Tranquil Path' of the brick pathway which winds along the peaceful river through majestic ponderosa pine and deciduos hardwoods.   Order a 20" x 30" print of this print for only $55
